These pictures bring to mind some special memories for me. In one (early 50s) my mother and grandmother, Della Smith, and I drove out from Salem for the day for lunch with Aunt Elizabeth and Aunt Nina…the Rhododendrons were beautiful! I remember the hand pump, but in my mind it was in the kitchen at the sink. This was probably from a trip when I was a small girl in the late 40s. Was it ever in the kitchen?
